I would have happily waited for a certain amount of time, but the lack of concrete news made it impossible to commit. The uncertainty around it definitely put me off buying their stuff.
I noticed pretty much all music software was hit by this, but certainly by January this year, most had come back up to speed with a confident message about imminent or planned compatibility with the new chips. But as a newcomer to electronic music devices, I found it quite odd that while researching gear that NI had such big issues with M1. I have no idea how software makers make decisions about what they want to make/update.
